Indian seminary head: Ayatollah Khamenei anchors the Islamic Revolution’s power against global arrogance

A senior Indian Islamic scholar says Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei stands at the heart of the Islamic Republic’s strength, playing a decisive role in confronting pressure campaigns and conspiracies driven by global arrogance.

Hawzah News Agency- Speaking in Allahabad, India, Alima Shabiha Fatima Jawadi, director of the Anwar al-Zahra (PBUH) Seminary, described Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution as a transformative chapter in modern history that not only liberated the Iranian nation from tyrannical rule but also breathed new life into oppressed peoples worldwide by reviving hope in faith-based, justice-centered governance.

She said the revolution’s impact has extended far beyond Iran’s borders, inspiring resistance movements and marginalized communities to believe in the possibility of dignity, independence, and social justice grounded in religious values.

Ashura ethos and the spirit of resistance

Jawadi highlighted the profound influence of the Islamic Revolution on resistance movements, noting that fighters for justice drew inspiration from the Karbala paradigm and embraced the spirit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). “They pledged to God that they would spare no sacrifice for the honor of Islam and the establishment of a just order,” she said, adding that their cries of “Allahu Akbar” shook the foundations of the arrogant powers.

She likened today’s resistance fighters to the 72 martyrs of Karbala, saying they embody the same refusal to submit to falsehood and injustice.

Imam Khomeini’s historic leadership

Paying tribute to the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Ruhollah Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace), Jawadi said his divine leadership, courage, and unmatched spirit of self-sacrifice guided the revolution to victory. She noted that even the profound personal loss of his son’s martyrdom did not deter Imam Khomeini from the revolutionary path.

Citing Imam Khomeini’s enduring message— “Jihad in the path of God requires sacrifice, and it is our honor to give our most beloved possessions for God”—she said these words continue to guide freedom-seekers across the world.

Continuity of the revolutionary path under Ayatollah Khamenei

Jawadi stressed that the same intellectual and practical line continues under Ayatollah Khamenei’s leadership. “Today, Ayatollah Khamenei is the true standard-bearer of Imam Khomeini’s path,” she said, adding that his unwavering commitment to revolutionary principles and deep reliance on God have thwarted repeated plots by hostile powers.

She said the Leader consistently calls on resistance movements to remain steadfast, reminding them not to be intimidated by the number or power of adversaries. “Do not fear the multitude of enemies, for God is with us,” she quoted him as saying.

Divine promise of victory

Referencing the Qur’an, Jawadi said history repeatedly proves that truth, even when represented by a small group, prevails over falsehood through divine support. She cited the verse, “How many a small group has overcome a large group by God’s permission” (Qur’an 2:249), as well as “If you support God, He will support you and make your steps firm” (Qur’an 47:7).

“These are not merely historical verses; they are living realities,” she said.

From the Islamic Revolution to the Mahdist era

In her concluding remarks, Jawadi described Iran’s Islamic Revolution as part of a broader divine continuum destined to culminate in the global uprising of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance). She said the revolution, by God’s will, will ultimately connect to a worldwide movement that fills the earth with justice after it has been filled with oppression.

Reciting the Qur’anic verse, “Truth has come, and falsehood has vanished; indeed, falsehood is bound to perish” (Qur’an 17:81), she said the decline of injustice is inevitable.

Jawadi concluded by expressing gratitude for the opportunity to engage in “jihad by the pen” and prayed that God grant Muslims the honor of being among the supporters of Imam Mahdi’s global movement, enabling the Ummah to witness the realization of universal justice.
